For most Americans, everyday is a struggle. For what ever the reason. Many struggle with financial problems. Others, with spiritual, emotional, physical and medical problems.
Some do not make enough money to survive. (How we really are, is still beyond me.) Others, over extend themselves.
The minimum wage isn't enough to live. Pay wages everywhere are ridiculous. It doesn't matter where you live, times are hard for the average American. Even worse for those not even considered average (low or no income) Americans.
If you are lucky enough to make descent wages then chances are, you are commuting and throwing it all away in gas prices. Many do not budget their incomes. They spend frivolously and over extend themselves on credit.
So many of us, live paycheck to paycheck - with no hope of ever getting ahead. There are bills that have to be paid and not enough income coming in to cover them all.
You have to pay rent or mortgage. You have to pay for electricity and/or gas. You have to buy a car to get to work. You have to pay for auto insurance. You have to pay for gas, tires, oil, tune-ups, etc. You have to pay for food. Do we have to have a phone? These days I say yes! I'm surprised I'm not being charged for the air that I breathe yet.
The cost of none of these things has gone down. Only up and up and up. But, wages continue to lag. Reality is, most of us don't have a chance in hell to ever achieve "The American Dream".
There are many of us who have lost our homes or are losing our homes to foreclosure. Life is not getting better and the illusive "American Dream" is fading.
What I once thought of as a bright future for my family, neighbors and other Americans has become shaky, doubtful and filled with catastrophe.
Not only has my family had to suffer, but countless others have had to endure the pain, suffering and humiliation of foreclosure on their home. The banks and mortgage companies have no mercy. They don't care that you have put your whole life into your home. They don't care that you have no where to go.
Our country's leaders solutions to the mortgage crisis, has been to say the least, too little - too late. And of course, the programs set forth does not help anyone that truly needed the help. So, what else is new? When is the last time our government did the right thing for THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
Remember us? You know... the ones that were born here and served our country to protect our freedom. I'm tired of letting everyone come in here and walk all over us. Telling us what to do in our own country. I'm tired of busting my hump, so some undeserving illegal alien can reap the benefits of our welfare system.
If you want to live in my country, I want you to fight for your right to be here. Just like we had to. Freedom is not free. If you want to live here you need to learn English, join one of the military forces and fight for your right to freedom. I served my country proudly and I am very protective of my God and my Country.
Americans need to start helping Americans. We need to reach out to each other and heal our own. The constant battling amongst us only makes us weaker as a whole.
Now is when we need to bond together as a whole and fight for the rights and beliefs that our country was founded on. God and Country first, and in that order. No if's, and's, or but's. What's wrong with you people? What happened to "In God We Trust"?
That is what is wrong with America today, not enough people are putting their trust in God. God has always been here protecting us, how do you think we got this far? Now our lack of trust and faith in God, has us wavering.
The rest of you can pray to whom ever you chose. But, do not try to change what we are founded upon. These are what has made our country the great place where everyone seems to want to live. If you come here and try to change America to your beliefs, then we will only have what you escaped in your country.
Believe what you want, worship who you want. Just leave my country's rights, beliefs and traditions alone. Pledge allegiance to the flag everyday and be proud. Pray to God aloud, if you so chose and be proud. Say Merry Christmas on Christ's Birthday. Or Happy Hannukah, or whatever pleases you.
These are American traditions. As American's stand up and be proud of who we are. If you do not like our constitution, our laws, our beliefs, our traditions, then please keep quiet and have some respect. I would not go to your country and willingly and deliberately disrespect your laws, beliefs and traditions. Bush will, but, I wouldn't!
God says we are all his children and as such I will respect others beliefs, I also expect the same in return. I know God is not religious.
